1. The Stencil: Shayne called it 'graphic art'. He hadn't done this quote before. He considers one of the most abused quotes to be a piece by Mother Teresa that a lot of old hippy chics like to get done. It's a bit of a contradiction since the quote is by a woman whose morale fiber probably goes against every grain of their life. I understood where he was poking at.
2. On the table: I kept getting texts asking how long it was going to be. It was remarked that asking a tattooist how long a piece will be or take to get done is like telling a plumber how to fix your pipes.
3. Work in Progress: I'm fairly sure my mother-in-law was highly entranced by watching the entire process. She loved the detailing on the thistle (dandelion, milkweed) especially much.
4. Freshly Done: In two weeks we're going to do a photo for his tattoo log that should look great especially once the swelling has gone down and the shadowing starts to pop.
5. Other than the feeling of a slight sunburn in pieces, which kind of
makes sense, I am in very high spirits about the final product.
6. They Call It A Lance ... Hello! I went to a birthday party with this
fresh bit of ink. One of the husbands instantly remarked with 'that's
my wifes favorite movie!' as I rambled off the quote. Those that know
... know.
P.S. And once again thank you Shayne ... I love it, I really do.
