My fingers have felt lost lately. They twine aimlessly around their beloved crochet hooks and skeins of yarn but are befuddled at what to make. I'm made and frogged [i.e. ripped apart] swatch after swatch.
I've goo.gle.d an assorted mess of different random mixtures of 'cool, punky, fun, slouchy, sloppy, crochet hat pattern' to no avail. I finally stumbled into this little gem that Charlize Theron is wearing from the old movie Sweet November from a combination of 'wicked hat crochet pattern.' Thank you April Draven for another fantastic and free pattern. [She had the LaPush pattern from Twi.light too.]
Not only did I whip out this breezy soft one skein shawl-scarf in under an hour I did it in probably the unwisest of situations. For some reason after tucking MrD into bed at 10p I thought it genius to watch Ghost Adventures in the dark while stitching. Genius D ... scary night vision adventures of a trio of men antagonizing the paranomal in a very realish situation. I laughily mocked them for poking the dead with a stick and not expecting it to poke back ... yet somehow I think it's wise to scare myself prior to heading to bed at 3a while the house is asleep.
P.S. I couldn't help but use MrD's riverboat foot as a model of work-in-progress while he napped around me. No I'm not exaggerating the man wears a US 14/15. I wear a men's US 6/7.
P.P.S. I fraking love this Playdough shirt Alfie sent me from the states ... but keep forgetting that while I enjoy the bright eye popping colors all my customers enjoy the logo. Way to NOT encourage strangers to stare at your ta-tas Darla. Who needs cleavage when they have every child's favorite logo pointing them out?
