So I unintentionally hurt Mr.D's feelings with my little Matt Damon clip on VP candidate Palin. You'll have to excuse me, as you can see I usually leave the politics to Sara. I guess he really hearts her, as does Sara, and I didn't mean to offend. I just like the thought provoking opinions of Damon. After all, does she believe in dinosaurs?
It's not that I'm not a politically opinionated person but after 5 years of working in the journalism field if I don't have an over-the-top secured position about the subject I just prefer to stay out of it. (Yes I have soap boxes, just not down this road.) That and the fact that facing a presidential election from an active duty standpoint versus a civilian side really is two different things. Currently it won't matter who gets elected, a new president or senate or other election, it always heralds in some sort of change. Be it small policy or moving troops around.
So, enough said on the subject.
Good gawd kids, two days left at the j.o.b. and time is ticking so slowly by. The drive home tonight seemed utterly agonizing. It's almost too painful to bear when I think about the fact that I only have two more icky trips of the evil commute full of retarded drivers. I'd be lying if I say that I'm going to miss it. I'll miss it like an abcessed tooth without novacaine.
